Attorney Mychal Schulz will present “Update: The Nuisance Nuisance” as a webinar for the West Virginia Manufacturers Association’s (WVMA) 9th Annual Marcellus and Manufacturing Development Conference on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Like a gnat that refuses to go away, nuisance claims continue to be filed in the region against companies in the oil and natural gas industry. In this presentation, Mr. Schulz provides an overview of how nuisance laws have developed in West Virginia, identifies some factual situations deemed a nuisance, and offers an update on the nuisance lawsuits before the Mass Litigation Panel arising from production and midstream activities. Mr. Schulz will also offer concepts to consider in mitigating exposure for nuisance claims. For more information, click here.
