Babst Calland joins the Appalachian Energy Innovation Collaborative (AEIC) for its Shale Conference, June 15-16, 2022.

Attorney Justine Kasznica will present “Top 10 Issues from Deploying Robotics and Advanced Technologies in Oil and Gas Operations.” This presentation will identify many of the emerging technologies that are currently being incorporated across the oil and gas industry value chain and the associated legal considerations. Artificial Intelligence (AI), autonomous devices, robotic functionality, drones and related technologies are key to increasing safety in the workplace and environmental monitoring in the field.

Attorney Kevin Garber will present “The Latest Environmental Developments in Testing and Monitoring for Energy Companies.” This session will summarize recent key legal developments relating to air, waste and water environmental permits, new cleanup standards that affect energy companies, and managing reporting and disclosure with regulatory agencies and the public – all areas that are requiring innovation legal and regulatory solutions.
