Babst Calland joins the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation (EMLF) for its Fall Symposium, October 12,-14 2021.

On Wednesday, October 13, US Senator Shelley Moore Capito will participate in a conversation with her son, Moore Capito, a Babst Calland Shareholder and member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, about the bipartisan infrastructure bill and other legislative priorities, and their potential impact on the energy industry.

Also on Wednesday, October 13, Attorney Steve Silverman will present “An Update on the Ohio Dormant Mineral Act and Marketable Title Act,” covering recent litigation concerning the Ohio Dormant Mineral Act and Marketable Title Act, including the Ohio Supreme Court ruling in Erickson v. Morrison, and a discussion of best practices as a result of ongoing litigation and unresolved issues.
