Attorneys Sean McGovern, Ben Clapp and Gary Steinbauer will co-present “Regulatory Relief: Federal and State Environmental Responses to the COVID-19 National Emergency” as a webinar for the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation (EMLF) on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
The COVID-19 national emergency has required many critical businesses to make significant changes to continue operating safely. Recognizing that these COVID-19 related modifications have made compliance with environmental regulatory and settlement-related obligations more challenging, or in some cases impossible, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and certain States have issued policies to address environmental compliance during the COVID-19 crisis. This presentation will cover key components of the EPA and select state (PA, OH, WV) policies, and will address important considerations for developing environmental compliance strategies during the ongoing pandemic.
