Babst Calland opened its doors in 1986 with a focused purpose of helping companies manage their commercial and corporate transactions and understand and comply with complex environmental and energy regulations.
Our founding shareholders, with their in-depth knowledge of environmental, corporate and energy law, were able to jump right in, providing counsel on many of the day’s most important business issues.
As we became more invested in our clients, we realized that we also needed complementary legal support. Over the years, we were pleased to provide additional services, as we added attorneys with private and public sector backgrounds in practice areas that were needed to best serve our clients’ needs.
Our outstanding client service and “in the trenches” approach has enabled us to become what we are today – a law firm with attorneys working in 12 integrated practice areas headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pa., with offices in Charleston, W. Va., Harrisburg, Pa., State College, Pa., and Washington, D.C. Our future planning will mirror our past as we remain committed to adding resources or opening new offices as necessary to maintain the highest level of service for our clients.
