Abigail M. Reecer
Area of Emphasis
Abigail Reecer is an associate in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Energy and Natural Resources and Pipeline and HazMat Safety groups. Ms. Reecer represents client in pipeline safety matters before the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), state agencies, and federal courts.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Reecer practiced as a litigation associate in Washington, D.C., where she handled cases involving complex litigation and toxic tort litigation. In this role, she represented large corporate clients in major toxic tort cases, developed expert witnesses to evaluate chemical exposure to agrochemicals, and prepared expert and corporate witnesses for deposition and trial.
Background
Ms. Reecer earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2021, where she served as a Legal Research and Writing Fellow and as Website and Technology Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. During law school, Ms. Reecer externed with the U.S. Department of Justice Criminal Division and also interned with a spectrum policy consultant firm providing telecommunications and information systems policy advice to private sector and federal agency clients.
Ms. Reecer earned her B.S., magna cum laude, in Fermentation Science and Technology with a minor in Food Safety from Colorado State University in 2018. During the course of her undergraduate studies, she worked as an Administrator for the Energy Institute at CSU’s Powerhouse Energy Campus where she helped to facilitate the development of innovative solutions to global energy and climate challenges.
