Angela M. Harrod

Area of Emphasis

Angela Harrod is an associate in the Construction and Litigation groups of Babst Calland. Ms. Harrod has a broad range of experience representing corporate clients in matters including breach of contract, unfair trade practices, and complex litigation.

Ms. Harrod represents contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, design professionals, and construction companies in a broad range of matters arising from complex construction and development projects. She has experience with Pennsylvania’s Mechanics’ Lien Law, and routinely prosecutes and defends lien claims. Ms. Harrod also represents clients in contractual and payment disputes. She practices in Pennsylvania state and federal courts.

Ms. Harrod has additional experience handling employment disputes, class action litigation, and the drafting of professional immigration visa petitions.

Background

Ms. Harrod graduated from Allegheny College with a B.A. in English in 2017. She received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2022, where she served as an editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and JURIST. She also completed a Pennsylvania Practice Practicum with Neighborhood Legal Services.

Memberships and Affiliations

Ms. Harrod is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is admitted in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division, the Women in the Law Division, the LGBTQ+ Rights Committee, and the Civil Litigation Section. At Babst Calland, she is a member of the Women’s Initiative Committee.
