Katerina P. Vassil

Katerina Vassil is an associate in the Litigation Group of Babst Calland. Ms. Vassil represents clients in a variety of litigation practice areas, including commercial, energy and natural resources, environmental, and employment and labor.
Background
Ms. Vassil graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2024 with a concentration in civil litigation. While at Pitt Law, she competed on the Mock Trial team in 2023 and 2024, representing Pitt Law at three competitions in Philadelphia, PA, Detroit, MI, and Pittsburgh, PA. Ms. Vassil also represented Pitt Law at the Loyola National Health Law Transactional competition in Chicago, IL in 2023 and 2024. was the Lead Articles Editor for the Journal of Law & Commerce and served as a teaching assistant for Legal Analysis & Writing, Criminal Law, and Evidence courses. She was a member of the Student Bar Association and served as 3L Class President. Ms. Vassil was a recipient of the Blue and Gold Dean’s Scholarship, Public Service Recognition Award, and Pro Bono Excellence Award. She earned two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Evidence and Mock Trial & Strategy.
Additionally, Ms. Vassil was a certified legal intern in the Sikov Elder Law Clinic, and prepared estate planning documents and represented a client in guardianship proceedings. During law school, she was a summer associate at Babst Calland in 2023. Ms. Vassil graduated from Temple University in 2021, earning a B.S. in Public Health.

Ms. Vassil is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Hay-Sell Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
